Adams Crossing opened its doors this past summer, on June 20, to provide new, affordable, workforce housing in Waldorf, Maryland. During its opening, the community also showed support for the Charles County Public School system.
During the opening ceremony of Adams Crossing, the community’s Project Manager, Andy McGinty of Castle Development Partners, presented Charles County Commissioner Reuben B. Collins II a $1.8 million check for Excise Taxes. This check will be funneled into the construction of new schools in the Charles County Public School System.
“We committed to paying the entire amount of the Excise Tax in one lump sum payment as soon we opened,” McGinty said, “so the funds would be immediately available to support the construction of new schools in Charles County.”
