You procrastinated planning your Halloween costume. Again. But never fear! As the days dwindle before the spookiest night of the year, you can still grab a few items for these last-minute Halloween costumes.
Witch
Every woman needs a little black dress — so they can be a witch for Halloween! Once you’ve located your black dress, you’re only a few accessories away from completing your witch costume. Grab a black pointed hat from Target and perhaps a pair of orange and black striped tights. Complete the look with a pair of black pointed flat or black booties.
Emily Elizabeth & Clifford the Big Red Dog
If you’re trying to incorporate your pup into your Halloween plans, we have the costume for you! Buy a red t-shirt for your dog, and you have your Clifford. To pull off the Emily Elizabeth look, you just need a black above-the-knee skirt, pink sweater, and black flats. Pink and black striped knee socks are a major bonus.
Rosie the Riveter
The current popularity of chambray shirts makes Rosie the Riveter an easy costume to throw together. All you need is a pair of jeans, a chambray shirt, and a red and white bandana. Now go show ‘em who’s boss, Rosie.
Saved By the Bell Cast
Instead of claiming your costume is simply “an 80’s person,” pick a specific member of the Saved By the Bell cast. Depending on your gender, hair, and skin color, select whichever cast member you most closely resemble. Add your geometric jacket, tropical print dress, or shoulder-padded blazer, and tease your hair or toss it up in a scrunchie, and you’re all set.
Who doesn’t have a plain white t-shirt? Dig yours out of your dresser drawer, grab some puffy paint (blue, red, yellow, and green), and get to work! Draw the yellow “O” first in the middle to help keep it centered.
Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast
With the live-action remake of the animated version gracing theaters in 2017, any Beauty and the Beast character will be a hit! If you’re running short on time, opt for Lumiere. All you need is a yellow t-shirt, an inexpensive black headband, and three battery operated candles. Fasten one of the candles (preferably a votive) to the headband with hot glue. The other two candles can be a bit larger, as you will carrying them in your hands.
