There’s nothing quite like the feelings of happiness and nostalgia that Disney movies bring you, no matter your age! We grew up watching the classics — from Aladdin and Lion King, to all of the Disney princesses we know and love. Disney began recreating classic films in 1994 with the release of The Jungle Book. With 101 Dalmatians in 1996 and 102 Dalmatians in 2002, they continued to crank out the twists on the classics. Continuing through the releases of Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent, and Cinderella between 2010 and 2015, they were definitely onto something. Just when we think that it can’t get any better, Disney releases Dumbo, Aladdin, and Lion King at the beginning of 2019. If you have yet to see these beautiful, colorful creations, you will not want to miss out. If you enjoyed all of these live-action Disney movies so far, you’re in luck. Disney is set to make an ongoing list of movies that we are counting down the days (and even years) to see. From now until 2020, you can expect to see a live-action Lady and the Tramp, Mulan, and a spin on a classic favorite, Cruella. Looking further into the future, they are set to bring more films to life including The Little Mermaid, Lilo & Stitch, and Pinocchio. Let’s not forget about The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs! While the release dates of these movies have yet to be announced, with Disney’s track record, we can assume that they will be epic.
It’s safe to say that there is plenty to look forward to in the next few years from Disney. Be sure to take your children to see these timeless classics that we grew up with, so that they can now enjoy them too!
