It’s beginning to feel a lot like winter! Some people have more difficulty regulating their body temperatures than others, so for those of you who are “always cold,” try these ways to stay warm as the temperature continues to drop in Waldorf.
Hats, socks, and scarves
Don’t leave your Adams Crossing apartment without a hat, warm socks, and a scarf. The majority of your body heat escapes from your head and feet, so insulating those areas help you stay toasty.
Fleece-lined leggings
They’re like regular leggings — but warmer! And more comfy (just as soon as we thought that wasn’t possible).
Flannel sheets
It’s silly to think that you should sleep in the same sheets when it’s 90 degrees as when it’s 20 twenty degrees. Swap out your regular sheets for flannel ones for a cozy night’s sleep.
Hot drinks
If you’re one of those “iced coffee even when it’s freezing outside” people, but you always complain about being cold, it’s time to reevaluate. Switching to hot beverages for a few months won’t kill you.
Gloves
We can’t stress the importance of gloves enough. Wear a pair, keep a pair in your purse or work bag, and stash a few extra in your car to ensure you’re never without.
Heated blanket
Chills strike when you least expect them — like when you’re just relaxing on your couch as you watch TV. Invest in a heated blanket to enjoy watching Stranger Things or Game of Thrones comfortably.
Layers
Dressing in layers is a tried and true strategy for staying warm the colder months. You might think that an undershirt, sweater, jacket, and vest is overdoing it, but the beauty of layers is that you can always remove them if you happen to get too toasty.
